Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson men's tennis won its fifth match in a row today with a 7-0 win over Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
The 9th-ranked Blue Raiders (7-1, 4-0 in the MSC) remain undefeated in conference play on the season.
The Blue Raiders swept the doubles point to begin the afternoon as No. 14 ranked Camilo Erazo and Aleksa Ciric defeated Aleksa Pesic and Caden Arnold 6-0 in the top-ranked game. Tiago Almeida and Steven Espinoza followed up with a 6-3 victory of their own over Arthur Calandre and Dalton Young to secure the one-point lead into the singles.
Ciric, ranked No. 38 in the NAIA, extended the Lindsey Wilson lead to 2-0 with a 6-3, 6-0 win in the top-seeded singles match. No. 46 ranked Almeida followed with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Caden Arnold in the third-seeded match. Jan Silhavy won the fourth set of the afternoon for the Blue Raiders with a 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 victory over Andrew Lopez.
Espinoza and Nicolas Torrealba won their matches 6-0, 6-0, and 6-1, 6-2 while Anatoliy Voloshyn secured the victory with a 6-1, 6-1 win in the final singles competition of the afternoon.
Lindsey Wilson will return to Henry Baughman Tennis Complex on March 25 to take on rival (RV) Campbellsville at 1 p.m. CT.
