The Blue Raiders have won 16 of the last 17 conference tournaments. Additionally, the sweep was Lindsey Wilson's eighth in a row.

The No. 11 Blue Raiders (16-1) defeated the Phoenix (13-7) 6-1 during the regular season. Lindsey Wilson took the first five points of that match, and began the tournament final in similar fashion.

Tiago Almeida and Aleksa Ciric began doubles play with a smooth 6-0 win over Hugues N'Goma and Sacha Colomban in the third-ranked doubles match. Nicolas Torrealba and Camilo Erazo secured the doubles point for the Blue Raiders after dispatching German Suarez and Felipe Coelho 6-4 in No. 2 doubles. When play was called, Jan Silhavy and Steven Espinoza were tied 4-4 with Adrijan Hrzic and Dan Trost in the top-ranked doubles match.

No. 38 Ciric corralled the first singles point for Lindsey Wilson with a 6-1, 6-2 defeat of Hrzic in the second-ranked match. Erazo, the 27th-ranked player in the NAIA, followed with a victory of his own as the senior downed Coelho 6-1, 6-1 in the top-ranked match. Anatoliy Voloshyn secured the victory with his 6-2, 6-0 win versus Trost in the sixth-ranked match.

Torrealba was ahead 6-4, 2-0 against Jackson Vaughan in No. 5 singles when play was halted. No. 46 Almeida was close to winning the fourth-ranked match, as the sophomore had a 6-2, 4-3 advantage over Suarez. Meanwhile, Silhavy was barely on top of N'Goma 1-6, 6-1, 1-0 in No. 3 singles.

With the victory, the Blue Raiders secured the MSC's automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament, which begins May 18. Lindsey Wilson now waits to see what seed it will draw for the competition.
