Women's Golf finishes second at MSC Spring Invite

CROSSVILLE, Tenn. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team held their positioning at the MSC Spring Invite to finish in second place with a 626 (312-314) total following the final day of action at the final regular-season event of the season.

The event was held at Cumberland Bear Trace Golf Course.

Cumberlands (Ky.) took first place at the event by 19 strokes as they carded a 607. With the result, they also claimed the MSC Regular Season Championship after also finishing first at the MSC Fall Invite. The Blue Raiders finished second at both events.

Malene Clausen and Zofia Wojcik each finished in the top-5. Clausen produced a 147 (75-72) to finish three-over-par and just three strokes off the lead in third place. Wojcik competed as an individual at the event to finish in fourth place with a 150 (75-75).

Megan Mann and Katie Biddlecombe cracked the top-10, finishing in seventh and eighth, respectively. Mann improved her positioning three places on the final round after carding a 155 (78-77). Biddlecombe produced a 156 (75-81).

Hannah Sumner finished in 18th place in the 54-women field after a 168 (84-84). Lauren Holeman rounds out the Blue Raiders scoring with a 179 (94-85) to finish in 34th place.

Cumberland (Tenn.) finished third with a 632 while Campbellsville shot a 654 to place fourth.

Carlee Shoemaker of Cumberlands won the individual title with an even-par 144 (72-72) edging out Cumberland's (Tenn.) Nathalie Nutu by one stroke.

Lindsey Wilson now turns their attention to the MSC Tournament Championship on May 3-5 in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
