BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- A pair of Blue Raiders finished in the top-10 to help Lindsey Wilson women's golf to a third-place finish today at the Mid-South Conference Championship at Bowling Green Country Club.
Lindsey Wilson posted a three-day, team-total of 951 (314-317-322) to end behind tournament champion Cumberlands (Ky.) and runner-up Campbellsville (Ky.). Cumberlands posted a 927 (311-302-314) while Campbellsville ended with a 944 (314-317-313).
Malene Clausen and Zofia Wojcik each posted top-10 finishes in the 51-woman field.
Clausen tied for eighth overall, posting a three-round total of 237 (78-78-81). She ended the 54-hole tournament with five birdies -- the third-most in the field. Wojcik finished one stroke back of her teammate with a 238 (82-78-78) -- good enough for a tie for 10th. She led the team with 32 pars in her 54 holes -- tied for the third-most in the tournament. Wojcik's 78 today was the best of the day for a Blue Raider.
Megan Mann and Katie Biddlecombe narrowly missed the top-10, finishing 11th and 12th, respectively. Mann carded a 239 (74-79-86) while Biddlecombe posted a 241 (82-78-81). Hannah Sumner tied for 19th with a 254 (88-84-82) after firing her best round of the tournament today.
Campbellsville's (Ky.) Gracie Parrott earned medalist honors with a 214 (69-74-71).
Following the tournament, Mid-South Conference announced the all-conference team. Clausen, Mann, and Wojcik each earned first-team all-conference honors while Biddlecombe and Sumner earned second-team honors. All conference is based on the individual's scoring average during the three conference-sanctioned tournaments.
Lindsey Wilson now waits to see if it will receive an at-large bid into the NAIA National Tournament. The tournament field is scheduled to be announced on Thursday, May 13.
