YORKTOWN, Ind. – The No. 17-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's golf team managed a 316 during their final round of The Players Club Invitational to finish in fourth place of the 10-team field with a 633.
The event was held at the Players Club at Woodland Trails, a par-72, 5,941-yard design. The field featured five NAIA-ranked teams as No. 2 Dalton State (Ga.) won the event with a 609 (294-315).
Zofia Wojcik paced the Blue Raiders with a 9-over-par score for the tournament to finish just five strokes off the lead in sixth place. She fired a 153 (77-76) after playing the par-5's the best in the field with a 2-under mark and a 4.67 scoring average. She produced a tournament leading six birdies and added 19 pars.
Megan Mann finished in a tie for 13th place after knocking four strokes off her total in the second round. She produced a 158 (81-77) and averaged a tournament best 4.21 scoring average on the par-4's while tallying 21 pars.
Katie Biddlecome finished just behind in a tie for 15th place following a 159 (75-84) stroke performance. Lauren Holeman took 32nd with a 164 (84-80) as Claire McGlaughlin finished in a tie for 37th place with a 169 (86-83).
Hannah Sumner competed as an individual to finish in a tie for 20th place with a 161 (82-79).
Dalton State's Megan Donahue won the event following a 148 (74-74).
Lindsey Wilson returns to the course on Monday, Sept. 20, when they host the Blue Raider Invitational at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson.
