COLUMBIA, Ky. – Battling wet conditions, the Lindsey Wilson women's golf team finished in second place of seven teams at the Blue Raider Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. Lindsey Wilson scored a 606 (305-301).
Malene Clausen and Campbellsville's (Ky.) April Houk finished the event tied at three-over-par and in first place. Clausen took second after losing on the second playoff hole. Clausen and Megan Mann finished in the top-5 of the event to earn all-tournament team honors.
Clausen posted a 1-under-par final round to jump up the leaderboard five spots on the final day. She posted a 147 (76-71). Mann finished in third place with a 184 (74-74).
Katie Biddlecombe took seventh with a 155 (77-78) as Zofia Wojcik finished in eighth with a 156 (78-78). Hannah Sumner rounded out Lindsey Wilson scoring with a 164 (81-83).
The Blue Raiders also had a "B" team compete in the event as Claire McLaughlin paced their efforts with a 156 (77-79) to finish in eighth place. Lauren Holeman took 14th place with a 160 (84-76) as Paige Gray posted a 168 (89-79).
The team finished in fifth place of seven teams with a 573 (339-234).
The Blue Raiders now turn their attention to the Invite at Innsbrook in Palm Harbour, Florida on Sept. 27-28.
