WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson archery team finished runner-up at the 2021 Mid-South Conference 3D Championship with 150 total team points today at the UC All-Purpose Field.
T Sanchez took first place in the men's recurve as Madison Loveless took first place on the women's side. Lindsey Wilson also won four team events at the championship including the women's team bowhunter, women's team barebow, mixed team barebow and men's team recurve.
The result marks the third straight season the Blue Raiders have finished runner-up at the event. Cumberlands (Ky.) finished in first place with 205 points as Pikeville (Ky.) took third with 111.
Lindsey Wilson produced six gold medals, eight silver, one bronze and four fourth-place finishes. The six golds were the second-most by a team as the eight silvers were the most of the competition.
Natalie Brockman finished second in the women's compound individual as Anna Krampe took second in the women's bowhunter. Sarah McCarthy added another second-place finish after competing in the women's barebow. On the men's side, Hunter Reading took third place in the men's barebow.
The men's barebow team, recurve mixed team, women's recurve team, mixed Bowhunter team and the mixed compound team all finished their events in second place.
Teams were awarded 10 points for gold, eight points for silver, six points for a bronze, and five points for a fourth-place finish.
