LONDON, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson archery team kicked off their season with four podium finishes at the USA 3D Regionals Friday afternoon at the London Fairgrounds. The Blue Raiders also had 12 shooters advance to tomorrow's individual shootdowns during the Mid-South Conference 3D Championships.
Anna Krampe finished tied for first place in the women's bowhunter, recording nine 12's and a 408 total score. Krampe lost in a one-arrow shoot-off to Cumberlands' (Ky.) Madison Cox to finish the event in second place. Aunika Selch and Courtney Blevens also competed in the event, finishing with 390 and 289 points as all three are headed to tomorrow's individual shootdowns.
Hunter Current finished in a tie for first place at the end of two rounds in the men's barebow competition. He totaled eight 12's to score a 321. He entered a one-arrow shoot-off with Tyler Woosley of Cumberlands where he fell to second place.
Madison Loveless finished in third place of the women's olympic recurve with four 12's and a 367 total score. Ryli Valliere also competed in the event finishing in sixth with 359 points to qualify for individual shootdowns tomorrow.
T Sanchez was the final Blue Raider on the podium taking second place in the men's olympic recurve with 394 points and five 12's. He was the top qualifies for tomorrow's individual shootdown. Gabe Crenshaw and Hunter Reading also qualified for tomorrow's shootdown in fourth and fifth place with 387 and 373 points, respectively.
Austin Taylor finished in fourth place in the men's compound event. He notched 20, 12's, to total 432 points. Natalie Brockman recorded 15, 12's, to take fifth place on the women's side with 413 points. Both qualified for tomorrow's individual shootdowns.
Sarah McCarthy rounds out the shootdown qualifiers for LWC as she took fifth place in the women's barebow with three 12's and 284 points.
The Blue Raiders return to the range tomorrow when they compete at the MSC 3D Championships at the UC All-Purpose Field. The competition is scheduled to begin at 7 am CT.
