Men's Swimming defeats Campbellsville on Senior Day

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team defeated Campbellsville (Ky.) 69-50 at the Holloway Natatorium on Saturday during the Highway 55 Last Chance Invitational.

Siaka Weidenbaum, Fabio Martin, Will Thilwind and Malte Ahrens picked up the Blue Raiders provisional standards.

James de Goede, Bryce Rice, Chase Hickman and Tyler King teamed up for the 200-yard medley relay where they finished in first place with a time of one minute and 33.16 seconds.

Weidenbaum claimed first place and an NAIA provisional standard during the 100-yard butterfly. He paced the field with a time of 51.78 seconds. Martin and Ahrens added their provisional standards in the 1,650-yard freestyle with first and second place times of 16:51.47 and 17:24.28, respectively.

Weidenbaum added another first-place finish, doing so with a time of 2:06.88 in the 200-yard butterfly.

Thilwind paced the field in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:58.92. His mark was just 00.46 tenths of a second from an NAIA provisional time. He then picked up his provisional in the 100-yard backstroke following a 53.81-second swim.

King claimed first place in the 50-yard freestyle when he touched the wall in 22.48 seconds. Reece Kincaid clocked the fastest time during the 100-yard breaststroke with a mark of 1:03.22. Kincaid claimed his second first-place swim in the 100-yard freestyle after finishing in 49.97 seconds.

De Geode clocked a first-place pace during the 200-yard IM following a pace of 2:02.27.

The pairing of De Goede, Rice, Hickman and King claimed first in the 200-yard freestyle relay after a time of 1:28.68.

Lindsey Wilson returns to the pool for the Mid-South Conference Championship on Feb. 3-5 in Kingsport, Tennessee.
