MADISONVILLE, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson archery team turned in a runner-up finish at the 2022 Mid-South Conference Indoor Championship. The Blue Raiders racked up 113 total points for the championship, taking home seven second-place, seven third-place, and three fourth-place finishes.
Cumberlands (Ky.) won the event after racking up 223 total points and 14 first-place finishes while Union (Ky.) finished in third place with 94 points. The result for the Blue Raiders marks the second straight season Lindsey Wilson has finished in second place at the event.
Christian Blair, Hunter Reading, and T Sanchez produced a runner-up finish during the men's team recurve competition while Casie Metcalf, Lexie Statton, and Madison Loveless joined forces on the women's side to claim a second-place finish of their own.
Lyle Uhrich, Wyatt Burtts, and Evan Mahanna teamed up to finish in second place during the men's team bowhunter. On the women's side, Jessica Heady, Courtney Blevens, and Alexis Abbot claimed third place.
Casey Stickfort, Chondani McKenna-Vega, and Sarah McCarthy battled their way to a third-place finish in the women's barebow event.
Madison Hart, Ashlyn Scriven, and Abigail Kaysinger battled their way to a third-place finish in the women's team compound event. Aiden Teague, Sean Neal, and Austin Taylor took home fourth place during the men's compound team shoot.
Sanchez finished in fourth place of the recurve head-to-head matches while Madison Loveless took third on the women's side. Jacob Cook managed a runner-up finish during the men's barebow head-to-heads while Chondani McKenna-Vega also finished as runner-up on the women's side. McCarthy also competed in the event, posting a fourth-place finish.
Taylor managed to claim third place during the compound event as Scriven took second place on the women's side.
Through the first two MSC regular-season events, the Blue Raiders sit in second place with 16 points and trail only Cumberlands who has four more points than LWC.
