Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – Bree Glover recorded five blocks to break the century mark in her career as the Blue Raiders lost 70-60 to Bethel (Tenn.) on Saturday afternoon at Biggers Sports Center.
Glovers five blocks give the senior 102 for her career.
Lindsey Wilson (11-7, 6-4 MSC) and Bethel (11-10, 5-8 MSC) battled all game as both teams were tied at the end of three consecutive quarters. The Wildcats used an explosive 26 points across the final ten minutes of play to ultimately pull away from the Blue Raiders.
The Wildcats came out firing in the fourth, outscoring LWC 16-6 over the opening five minutes of play to a 60-50 lead. Bethel pushed their advantage to a game-high of 13 points with just over a minute to play before settling for a 70-60 win.
Lindsey Wilson shot just 39.6 percent from the floor while their counterparts managed a 43.1 mark. The Blue Raiders were just 4-of-15 from deep, including a 0-of-5 mark in the second half.
The first half featured six ties and seven lead changes with Lindsey Wilson holding the largest lead of six points early in the first quarter. Bethel took their largest lead of three points in the late stages of the second half.
Hailey Ison managed a game-high 24 points while adding eight rebounds. Amelia Hodges was the final Blue Raider in double figures with 13 points. Glover added eight boards to her five blocks in the game.
Lindsey Wilson returns to the court on Monday when they host Cumberlands (Ky.) at Biggers Sports Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT.
