COLUMBIA, Ky. –The Lindsey Wilson women's swim team picked up two wins this afternoon over Campbellsville (Ky.) and Asbury (Ky.) at the Holloway Natatorium. LWC defeated the Tigers 164-36 and the Eagles 123-81.
Azalia Gabdrakipova, Sara Motyl, Allie Rutherford, and Natascha Evrinoff kicked off the meet with a win during the 200-yard medley relay. The pair raced their way to a time of one minute and 53.60 seconds.
Gabdrakipova notched her first of two provisional standards during the 200-yard IM. She touched the wall in first place with a mark of 1:15.46. Her second standard came during the 100-yard backstroke with a first-place time of 1:00.45.
Evrinoff added her provision mark during the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.66 and in first place. Motyl raced her way to a first-place finish and a provisional standard in the 100-yard breaststroke. She touched the wall at 1:08.43.
Savannah Schoeman took first place during the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.76 seconds. Alejandra Martinez raced her way to a first-place finish during the 500-yard freestyle with her mark of 5:29.95.
Lindsey Wilson returns to the pool on Nov. 5 when they welcome Campbellsville and Union (Ky.) to the Holloway Natatorium for a tri-dual at Noon CT.
