Men's Cross Country finishes in 27th at the Great Lakes Challenge

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Lindsey Wilson men's cross-country team finished in 27th place at the Great Lakes Challenge at Riverside Park this morning. The Blue Raiders recorded 654 points at the event.

Justin Stearns took home the best finish by a Blue Raider after crossing the finish line in 26 minutes and 33.70 seconds. His time was good enough for 121st place. In total, 239 individuals competed in the event with 28 teams making the field.

Indiana Wesleyan won the event with 88 points as Jason Bowers of Cumberland (Tenn.) won the individual title with a time of 24:03.30.

Jordan Tucker finished just behind Stearns in 124th place with his time of 26:35.40. Nolan Foushee crossed the line in 26:42.30 and in 131st place as Nicholas Cummins took 156th place with his mark of 26:59.50.

Victor Clark raced his way to a time of 27:08.80 (170th), Michael Schonter notched a mark of 27:11.10 (172nd), and Marcus Abel ran his race in 28:37.20 (217th). Kevin Cuin was the final Blue Raider in action finishing in 231st with a time of 30:21.50.

Lindsey Wilson is back in action on Nov. 5 when they compete at the Mid-South Conference Championship in Bowling Green, Ky., at Phil Moore Park.
