Women's Swimming Wins at GA Small College Invite

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team dominated the pool scoring 1,067 points on their way to a first-place finish at the GA Small College Invite. Piedmont claimed second place with 511.5 points as Life (Ga.) is third with 454.

Alejandra Martinez scored 60 points across her races to lead all swimmers as Azalia Gabdrakipova collected the second most points with 57. Gabdrakipova notched an NAIA Automatic Qualifying Standard in the 200-yard backstroke.

Lindsey Wilson racked up 18 standards on the day as five Blue Raiders claimed first-place finishes. The Blue Raider relay team also claimed a first-place finish.

  • Sara Motyl:

  • Maria Paula Escandon Lopez:

Martinez, Secanell, Lopez, Evrinoff claimed first in the 400-freestyle relay at 3:39.53.

Lindsey Wilson is back in the pool after the first of the year on Jan. 7 when they compete against Shawnee State (Ohio) and Bethel (Tenn.) at the Holloway Center Natatorium.
