Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team suffered their fourth straight Mid-South Conference loss on Tuesday night, falling 87-64 to No. 3 Campbellsville at Biggers Sports Center.
Lindsey Wilson shot 44.6 percent from the floor, but the Tigers were lights out, shooting at 55.6 percent for the game. Campbellsville took advantage of the high percentage area in the paint, pouring in 52 of their points from close range.
Jordyn Stephens and Lucy Patterson each finished with a team-high 11 points as Patterson added more team-highs seven boards and three steals.
Lindsey Wilson battled in the opening quarter but trailed 21-15 after the opening 10 minutes. Campbellsville's defense took over in the second quarter, limiting LWC to just 14 points as they failed to know down any of their three-point attempts.
The Blue Raiders were forced into 10 turnovers during the opening 20 minutes which led to 11 Tiger points. Campbellsville took a 48-29 lead into halftime.
The Tigers continued pushing the pace in the second half, extending their lead to as many as 27 points in the fourth quarter. Lindsey Wilson outscored Campbellsville 18-17 in the third frame but the Tigers surged over the final 10 minutes.
Campbellsville ultimately won the contest by 23 at 87-64.
Six Tigers finished the night in double figures as Kaitlynn Wilks led the way with 22 points and seven rebounds.
Lindsey Wilson returns to play on Dec. 1 when they welcome Bethel (Tenn.) to Biggers Sports Center at 5:30 p.m. CT.
