COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's swim team defeated Union (Ky.) 184-15 and Campbellsville (Ky.) 174-63 on Saturday afternoon at the Holloway Center Natatorium.
The win against Campbellsville is the third time this season the Blue Raiders have defeated their Highway 55 foe. Lindsey Wilson notched eight provisional standards at the meet.
Annissa Koekemoer, Julia Secanell, Allie Rutherford, and Savannah Schoeman teamed up in the 200-yard medley relay for first place with a time of one minute and 58.18 seconds.
Azalia Gabdrakipova notched a provision standard and first-place finish during the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.96. Sara Motyl notched her provisional time of 1:08.20 during the 100-yard breaststroke.
Rutherford crashed into the wall at 2:19.54 to earn a provisional time and first-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly. Gabdrakipova picked up her second standard of the afternoon during the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:12.90.
Motyl managed her second provisional time in the 200-yard breaststroke as she touched the wall in 2:30.90.
Natascha Evrinoff and Motyl both recorded provisional times in the 100-yard butterfly. Motyl took first with a mark of 1:00.04 as Evrinoff finished just behind at 1:01.33. Jordyn Minifie clocked the final provisional during the 400-yard IM with her first-place time of 4:52.42.
Secanell clocked a first-place time in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:04.10 as Schoeman claimed first in the 50-yard freestyle at 26.60 seconds. Evrinoff paced the 100-yard freestyle with her mark of 57.73 seconds.
Jaye Farthing claimed first during the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:51.27.
Gabdrakipova, Secanell, Evrinoff, and Motyl closed out the meet with a first-place finish during the 200-yard freestyle relay. The pairing touched the wall at 1:45.52.
Lindsey Wilson returns to the pool on Nov. 17-19 when they compete at the Georgia Small College Invite in Columbus, Georgia.
