Box Score

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson women's basketball's comeback attempt fell just short today in a 77-74 loss to Georgetown (Ky.) at Biggers Sports Center.

The Blue Raiders (12-10, 7-7 in the Mid-South Conference) entered the fourth quarter down 11 and ultimately trailed by 13 in the final frame but mounted an improbable comeback over the final three minutes.

With 3:06 left in regulation and trailing 71-61, Lindsey Wilson scored the next eight points to trim the deficit to 71-69 with 1:45 left. Hailey Ison connected on a layup and Sydnie Hall made a pair of 3-pointers during the spurt.

Following a pair of Georgetown (17-8, 10-7) free throws, Hall made her third straight three and her fifth of the game to trim the deficit to 73-72. Hall finished the game with a team-high 19 points.

After a Georgetown miss in the final minute, Jordyn Stephens tied the game at 73-all, making one of two free throws with 43 seconds left.

The final 40 seconds belonged to the Tigers, as the Blue Raiders managed just a single free throw en route to the setback.

The game went back and forth in the first half and midway through the third quarter when the Tigers separated from Lindsey Wilson. The game featured 10 ties and 16 lead changes.

Georgetown used an 11-2 run over a four-minute span midway through the third to build an 11-point lead. The Tigers carried that lead into the latter stages of the fourth quarter before the Lindsey Wilson run.

The Blue Raiders shot just 39.1 percent (25-of-64) from the field compared to a more efficient Georgetown, who shot 47.2 percent (25-of-53).

Amelia Hodges (17 points), Ison (16), and Bree Glover (10) all joined Hall in double figures. Glover added a team-high 10 rebounds for the double-double. Georgetown's Grace White finished with a game-high 28 points.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 6 p.m. CT on Monday, Feb. 7, as the Blue Raiders travel to Cumberland (Tenn.) in Lebanon, Tennessee.
