Men's Swimming finishes in Second at MSC Championship; Claim 14 All-MSC Honors

KINGSPORT, Ga. – The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team turned in a second-place finish at the Mid-South Conference Swimming Championship. The Blue Raiders claimed 14 All-MSC honors while Will Thilwind picked up two individual titles and Fabio Martin added one of his own.

Martin kicked off the night with a win in the 1,650-yard freestyle after racing his way to a time of 15:57.28. Thilwind then won the 200-yard backstroke by nearly three seconds with his time of 1:53.42. It marked his second individual title in as many days.

James de Goede finished in third place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 46.19 seconds.

Reece Kincaid, Malte Ahrens, Tyler King, and de Goede took home a second-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle to close out the competition. The quartet finished in 3:07.39.

Cumberlands (Ky.) won the event with 935 total points.

Lindsey Wilson now turns their attention to the NAIA National Championship on March 2-5 in Columbus, Georgia.
