COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team finished in first place at the Blue Raider Invitational on Sunday afternoon after posting a 913 (311-302-300). Malene Clausen took first place, winning the event's title by six strokes.
The event was being played at The Pines by Lindsey Wilson, a par 71, 5,810-yard design.
Clausen produced a 216 (72-75-69) across three rounds of action. She played her best golf of the weekend during today's final round with a 2-under-par 69.
Katie Biddlecombe, Zofia Wojcik, and Lauren Holeman each cracked the top-10 for the weekend. Biddlecombe posted a 230 (78-76-76) to finish in fourth place as Wojcik claimed sixth place with a 232 (79-75-78). Holeman competed as an individual at the event, taking 10th place with a 238 (80-80-78).
Hannah Sumner took 11th place as Megan Mann – who competed as an individual – finished in 12th place. Sumner posted a 239 (82-80-77) as Mann managed a 242 (78-79-85).
Claire McLaughlin finished in a tie for 14th place following a 247 (88-76-83) as Paige Gray took 19th with a 255 (86-88-81).
Cumberlands (Ky.) finished in second place at the event with a 916 (305-309-303), just three strokes off the pace set by Lindsey Wilson.
Lindsey Wilson is back on the course on March 28th when they compete at the Carey Collegiate in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
