COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 9-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team completed their third 7-0 sweep victory of the week after taking down UT Southern (15-4, 3-1 MSC) this afternoon at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex. The win pushed the Blue Raiders to a perfect 5-0 in Mid-South Conference play and 12-3 overall.

Anatoliy Voloshyn and Steven Espinoza kicked things off with a win over Shizuya Kubo and Luis Olives on a perfect 6-0 win. Aleksa Ciric and Jan Silhavy then claimed the doubles point with a win over Guilherme Cupertino and Nickolas Rosa. The result was a 6-1 win as the pair moves 7-1 on the season in doubles play.

Joppe van Malderen and Tiago Almeida closed out doubles play with a 6-1 win over Felipe Dias and Rage Matcuk as the pair moves to 8-1 in doubles action.

Silhavy opened singles play with a 6-4, 6-1 result over Olives as Ciric played the top-seeded match to a 6-2, 7-6 win over Kubo. Van Malderen took the decisive point at No. 3 singles with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Cupertino.

Almeida rolled in his match 6-1, 6-1 over Dias as Nicolas Torrealba picked up a 6-4, 6-4 win against JC Morano. Voloshyn closed out the match, completing the sweep with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Matcuk.

Lindsey Wilson returns to the court on Saturday when they take part in their first of four road matches with a match against Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.).
