Women's Golf Misses Cut, Finish in 18th at NAIA National Championship

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team missed the cut by one position to finish in 18th place ­­­­­­­­after two rounds of the NAIA National Championship following a 615 (306-309).

The Blue Raiders battled a busy schedule at the championship with the first day of competition postponed due to weather. Lindsey Wilson made it halfway through their opening round yesterday before finishing their final eight holes of the first round this morning and then immediately rolled into their second round.

The event was played at Lincoln Park Golf Club – The West Course, a Par-72, 6,013-yard design.

Katie Biddlecombe posted Lindsey Wilson's best finish at the event in a tie for 41st place and missed the cut by just one stroke. She scored a 151 (74-77) after picking up four birdies during her opening round and five for her championship. Zofia Wojcik finished in a tie for 67th place after scoring a 154 (74-80) while picking five birdies for her championship.

Hannah Sumner and Malene Clausen finished tied for 74th place scoring similar 155 stokes across the two rounds. Clausen posted an 80-75 while Sumner scored a 78-77. Megan Mann also competed posting a 170 (87-83) in a tie for 145th place.

British Columbia Leads the championship field by 10 strokes after posting a 572 (286-286). MinJi Kang of Truett McConnell leads the field at nine-under entering tomorrow's final round.

With the result, Lindsey Wilson's season comes to a close with an 18th-place finish at the NAIA National Championship.
