Box Score HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team fell on the road to Freed-Hardeman, 57-38, on Thursday night at Brewer Sports Center.
The Blue Raiders struggled to find success offensively against the Lions' two-three zone, as they finished the night shooting 24.1 percent from the floor. Lucy Patterson was a bright spot on the night for the Blue Raiders as she picked up her fifth double-double of the season, recording 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Lindsey Wilson started the game off slowly as they fell behind quickly, 11-0. Freed-Hardeman did well to limit the visitor's productivity in the opening frame, leading to a 13-4 deficit for the Blue Raiders at the end of the first quarter.
The Lady Lions continued to excel in the second, jumping out to a 19-4 advantage. Lindsey Wilson started to settle in throughout, however, as they pulled within single digits, 24-15, with 2:51 left in the second quarter. Freed-Hardeman ended the quarter on an 8-3 run to take a 32-18 lead at the break.
The third quarter saw both teams suffer long scoring droughts at different points, and Freed-Hardeman ultimately held on to their double-digit lead through the final frame.
The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team heads to McKenzie, Tenn. to take on Bethel (Tenn.) at Crisp Arena on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. CT.
