COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team defeated Campbellsville (Ky.) 87-12 at the Holloway Natatorium on Saturday during the Highway 55 Last Chance Invitational.
Azalia Gabdrakipova, Jordyn Minifie, Allie Rutherford all earned provisional standards as Sara Motyl earned two provisional standards, with three first-place finishes.
Natascha Evrinoff, Alejandra Martinez, Minifie, and Julia Secanell kicked things off with a first-place finish during the 800-yard freestyle relay. The grouping touched the wall in eight minutes and 23.77 seconds, eleven seconds faster than second-place.
Motyl's first win came during the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing in 2:25.95. The freshman then raced her way to a time of 1:01.06 in the 100-yard butterfly, earning her first provisional standard. She later added on her second provisional standard of the day in the 100-yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 1:09.54 seconds.
Minifie netted her provisional standard in the 400-yard IM, crashing into the wall with a time of 4:56.82.
Gabdrakipova finished in first-place in the 200-yard freestyle, netting a time of 2:03.54. She later added on a provisional standard in the 200-yard freestyle, touching the wall with a time of 2:03.21, ten seconds faster than second-place.
Evrinoff collected a win in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking a time of 5:46.61. She later earned another first-place swim in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 56.92.
Hannah Woyscheszik managed a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:05.04.
The quartet of Evrinoff, Gabdrakipova, Martinez and Motyl collected first place in the 400-yard medley relay, with a time of 4:12.23.
Jaye Farthing netted a win in the 1650-yard freestyle, touching the wall with a time of 20:22.95. Annissa Koekemoer earned a first-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke, doing so with a time of 2:21.97.
Rutherford earned her provisional standard in the 200-yard butterfly, clocking a time of 2:16.72. She later picked up the Blue Raiders final win of the day with a first-place finish in the 200-yard IM with a mark of 2:22.23.
Lindsey Wilson returns to the pool for the Mid-South Conference Championship on Feb. 2-4 in Kingsport, Tennessee.
