COLUMBIA, Ky. – At the Holloway Natatorium, the Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team returned to the pool for the first time in 2023, sweeping Shawnee State University and Bethel University (Tenn.) to remain undefeated in dual meets on the season.

The Blue Raiders bested the Bears, 134.00-64.00, and upended the Wildcats, 146.00-39.00.

Freshman Sara Motyl claimed top honors in two individual events, first winning the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:03.75 before setting a provisional standard in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:09.17.

The quartet of Jordyn Minifie, Azalia Gabdrakipova, Avery Herring and Natascha Evrinoff paced Lindsey Wilson to a victory in the 400-yard freestyle relay, with the latter three additionally collecting individual wins in the 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard butterfly, respectively. Furthermore, Evrinoff's effort of 1:01.11 in the butterfly event locked in as a provisional time standard.

Also claiming first-place finishes for the Blue Raiders on the afternoon were Alejandra Martinez in the 200-yard freestyle and Julia Secanell in the 100-yard freestyle.

Lindsey Wilson returns to the friendly confines of the Holloway Natatorium next weekend on January 14 to host the University of Tennessee Southern at 12 p.m. CST.
