COLUMBIA, Ky. – At the Holloway Natatorium, the Blue Raider women's swim team welcomed Cumberlands (Ky.) for a Mid-South Conference dual meet.
Lindsey Wilson finished with five individual wins, six NAIA provisional standards, and an "A"-cut time. However, the visiting Patriots emerged victorious on the afternoon 154.5 to 106.5
Maaike Broersma paced the Blue Raiders with three wins, including the 100-yard backstroke (57.19), 50-yard freestyle (24.57), and 200-yard backstroke (2:08.31). The senior met national standard times in each of her wins, with the most impressive coming in the form of an "A"-standard mark in the shorter of the backstroke races.
Sara Motyl swam a provisional time of 1:10.35 en route to a first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, while Savannah Schoeman got back to the wall at 5:40.35 to clinch the 500-yard freestyle.
Elsewhere for Lindsey Wilson, Natalia Gorska notched a pair of provisional times in the 100-yard backstroke, in which she placed third, and in the 50-yard freestyle where she was runner-up.
Lastly, Jordyn Minifie secured provisional time in the 400-yard individual medley, touching the wall in second place with a time of 4:52.03.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Saturday, October 28 in Elkhart, Indiana for a tri-meet featuring Aquinas (Mich.) and Bethel (Ind.).
