COLUMBIA, Ky. – On Saturday afternoon, the Lindsey Wilson men's swim team hosted Mid-South rival Cumberlands (Ky.) at the Holloway Natatorium.
The Blue Raiders came away with four event wins, including three NAIA provisional standards, but fell to the Patriots 167 to 88.
Fabio Martin Rojo produced two of Lindsey Wilson's individual victories. First, in the 200-yard freestyle, he posted a provisional time of 1:45.39. Then, later in the day, the junior topped the field in the 500-yard freestyle and notched another provisional mark after touching the wall at 4:50.41.
Max van Schagen and Malte Ahrens also secured first-place finishes for the Blue Raiders. Van Schagen swam a provisional time of 59.61 to win the 100-yard breaststroke, and Ahrens recorded a 2:02.85 in the 200-yard butterfly to round out the winner's list for Lindsey Wilson.
The Blue Raiders are back in the pool next Saturday, October 28 when they travel to Elkhart, Indiana for a tri-meet with Aquinas (Mich.) and Bethel (Ind.).
