RICHMOND, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team finished fourth at the Gibson Bay Invite Tuesday at the Gibson Bay Golf Course.
The Blue Raiders shot an 86-over par 950 (326-320-304) over the two-day event on the par 72 5,916 yard course. Lindsey Wilson moved up one spot on Tuesday to finish fourth. The Blue Raiders recorded the fourth-most birdies at the tournament with 22.
A pair of Blue Raiders finished in the top 10 led by Kayla Saunders who moved up 11 spots to finish ninth. Saunders carded a 16-over 232 (78-82-72) and her 72 in the third round was the lowest third round score. Tara Laverty who was competing as an individual finished ninth with a 233 (80-78-75).
Megan Mann (83-77-76) and Hannah Sumner (81-76-79) each finished tied four 12th with a 236. Zofia Wojcik carded a 246 (84-85-77) to finish tied for 24th while Lauren Holeman finished 39th with a 258 (84-87-87).
The Blue Raiders turn their attention to the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament which begins Monday Oct. 30 at Bowling Green Country Club in Bowling Green, Ky.
