ELKHART, Ind. - The Blue Raider women's swim team traveled to Indiana and participated in a meet hosted by Bethel University (Ind.) in which Aquinas College and DePauw University competed in.
Lindsey Wilson finished with four individual wins and four NAIA provisional standards. However, the Blue Raiders lost 140.0 to 121.0 against DePauw University and also fell 150.0 to 128.0 against Bethel. They emerged victorious by 203.0 to 73.0 against Aquinas College.
Senior Maaike Broersma obtained Lindsey Wilson's first win of the meet in the 100-yard backstroke with a provisional time of 59.30. Sara Motyl won the 100-yard breaststroke with a provisional time of 1:09.35. The 200-yard butterfly was topped by Allie Rutherford with a provisional time of 2:14.01. Natalia Gorska swam a 24.91 for the last first-place finish for the Blue Raiders in the meet in the 50-yard freestyle.
Elsewhere for Lindsey Wilson Broeersma notched a provisional time on the 50-yard freestyle in which she placed fourth.
The Blue Raiders return to action Saturday, November 4 in Campbellsville, Kentucky for a meet featuring Campbellsville University and Union College.
