GEORGETOWN, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team fell to Georgetown, 87-56, on Saturday afternoon at Davis-Reid Alumni Gym.

Jordyn Stephens and Alera Barbee led the Blue Raiders in scoring with nine points apiece as Lucy Patterson led the team with eight rebounds.

Georgetown got out to an early lead, using a 14-7 run from the opening tip from Erin Toller baskets. Stephens answered back with five points of her own, making a layup and a free-throw with 18 seconds to play in the first frame. Toller answered back with a layup of her own, pinning the contest at 28-17 in favor of the Tigers.

In the second quarter, Lindsey Wilson and Georgetown traded blows leading to a more even quarter of play. The Blue Raiders staged an 11-6 run topped off by an Ameila Hodges free-throw. Lisa Suljemani sank two free-throws, getting the lead back up to 12, pinning the contest at 43-31.

Izzy Lamparty and Toller scored a combined 19 points in the third frame, producing an offensive explosion for the Tigers as they scored 28 points in the third frame. Georgetown shot 78.5 percent from the field on 11-of-14 shots, grabbing ten rebounds. Lamparty made a layup to push the game 71-38, giving the Tigers a 33 point lead.

In the final quarter of the regular season, the Blue Raiders outscored Georgetown 18-16. Juliah Bault and Kylie Jackson both scored four points as Lindsey Wilson outshout their counterparts in the period, ending the quarter on a 10-6 run. Callie Jackson finished the quarter with a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe. The final box score of the regular season showed the Tigers securing the 87-56 win.

Georgetown controlled the glass, having the rebound disparity show in the Tigers favor, 45-22. The Tigers shot 53.7 percent from the field while the Blue Raiders only shot 30.9 percent from the field.

The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team now looks to the Mid-South Conference tournament where they will go to Ohio to take on Shawnee State (Ohio) on Tuesday at Waller Gymnasium.
