PULASKI, Tenn. - The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team picked up a 157-55 victory over Tennessee Southern Friday at Grissom Natatorium.
With the victory, the Blue Raiders are now 6-2 in dual meets this season. Lindsey Wilson won 10 events in the dual.
The Blue Raiders took first and second in the 200-meter medley relay. Azahan Hicks,
Clinton Eales,
Chase Hickman and
Max van Schagen took first with a time of 1:50.75.
Cameron Johnson Tyler Buffel,
Jose Rivas and
Fabio Martin Rojo touched the wall in 1:55.48 to finish second.
Van Schagen recorded a provisional standard in the 50 freestyle taking first with a time of 24.49. Martin Rojo won the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:02.21 while Rivas finished runner-up in 2:02.59.
Dario Soria took first in the 100 backstroke finishing in 1:00.46.
Lindsey Wilson took first and second in the 100 breaststroke as Eales touched the wall in 1:10.21 while Buffel finished with a time of 1:11.25. Ahrens posted a runner-up finish in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:21.38.
Van Schagen picked up another win in the 100 freestyle with a time of 56.48 while Ahrens finished second in 57.35. Soria gave the Blue Raiders another win in the 200 backstroke finishing in 2:15.67. Buffel won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:38.30 while Matin Rojo finished first in the 400 freestyle with a time of 4:24.51.
Hickman won the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:01.27 while
Ethan Butler was second in the 400 IM finishing in 5:13.33. The Blue Raiders closed out the dual picking up a victory in the 400 freestyle relay. The quartet of Soria, Hicks, Martin Rojo and van Schagen touched the wall in 3:44.80.
The Blue Raiders return to the pool on Saturday, Jan. 20 when they host the Highway 55 Last Chance Invitational at the Holloway Center Natatorium at 9 a.m. CT.
