COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 12 ranked Lindsey Wilson men's wrestling team dropped a Mid-South Conference dual to No. 13 Cumberland (Tenn.) 29-9 Thursday at Biggers Sports Center.

The Blue Raiders drop to 6-5 in duals and 1-2 in the MSC. Lindsey Wilson won three bouts on the night while the Phoenix came away with seven victories.

#4 Conner Diamond got the dual started with a 7-2 decision over Chris Busutil at 125 pounds. Cumberland evened up the match with #3 Sammy Shires defeating Nate Becker #17 at 133 pounds.

#3 Adiran Ayala gave Lindsey Wilson a 6-3 lead after recording a SV-1 4-1 decision over #12 Dinh. The Phoenix took control of the match winning the next five weight classes to take a commanding 26-6 lead.

The Blue Raiders final win of the evening came at 197 pounds. #14 Niko Perovic picked up a 9-7 decision over Tyler Rowland to make it 26-9. Cumberland got a 4-2 decision at 285 pounds to come away with the 29-9 victory.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Saturday when they host the Blue Raider Open at the Holloway Wellness Center at 9 a.m. CT.
