BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team wrapped up its fall campaign with a victory at the Mid-South Conference Fall Preview Tuesday at Bowling Green Country Club.
The Blue Raiders finished with a 32-over par 896 (299-291-306) to defeat runner-up Cumberlands by 26 shots. Lindsey Wilson's 291 in the second round was the lowest score of the tournament. The Blue Raiders led the tournament in birdies with 29 and in pars with 161.
Lindsey Wilson had three of the top five spots on the individual leaderboard.
Butpapaporn Sukterm earned medalist honors with a 3-under 213 (68-68-77). Sukterm carded a tournament best 12 birdies.
Papatsara Niamrungrueang finished runner-up with a 218 (75-68-75). Niamrungrueang was second in par-5 scoring at -4 and was second in birdies with 10.
Pitchayapa Pungpho finished fifth with a 228 (77-77-74).
Tara Laverty posted a top 10 finish coming in 10th with a 239 (79-78-82).
Kayla Saunders finished 16th carding a 245 (87-78-80).
Danielle Bekker and
Holly Murphy competed as individuals in the tournament. Bekker finished tied for 23rd with a 253 (87-81-85) while Murphy was tied for 25th with a 254 (86-86-82).
The Blue Raiders now break for the winter before resuming their season in the spring.
