COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team is traveling to Cumberlands (Ky.) to compete in the University of the Cumberlands Classic on Thursday and Friday.
The Blue Raiders are looking to start the regular season strong after falling 71-32 in their lone exhibition at Middle Tennessee State on Wednesday night.
Janiya Davis led the team in scoring with six points while
Claire Fleming,
Emily Cox, and
Saniyah Shelton contributed four points, apiece.
Lindsey Wilson is set to take on West Virginia Tech on the first day of the classic. The Golden Bears finished with a 5-22 record last season. The Blue Raiders will then take on the Miami-Hamilton (Ohio) on Friday, who finished with a 10-10 record in the 2023-24 season. The Golden Bears and Harriers are both without last season's leading scorers.
The Blue Raiders have won 12 of the 14 all time match-ups against WVU Tech, as well as both of their previous games against Miami-Hamilton and look to continue their winning streaks against both competitors at this week's classic.
The Blue Raiders will tip-off at 4 p.m. CT on Thursday and 12 p.m. CT on Friday.
