GAMBIER, Ohio – The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team sits in seventh place after day one of the Total Performance Invitational, hosted by Kenyon College (Ohio).
The Blue Raiders tallied 146 points and sit 33 points behind SUNY Geneseo (N.Y.) in sixth place.
Four individuals secured NAIA provisional cuts across three different events, including
Sergio Ybarra and
Fabio Martin Rojo who placed fifth and ninth, respectively, in the 500-yard freestyle.
Azahn Hicks clocked in at 21.16 in the 50-yard freestyle, which earned him 19
th place overall, and
Dario Soria recorded a provisional time of 1:54.38 with a 26
th-place effort in the 200-yard individual medley.
Lindsey Wilson's first relay of the day, the 200-yard freestyle comprised of
Clinton Eales,
Jose Rivas,
Max van Schagen, and Hicks, touched the wall ninth at 1:24.15, the third-fastest time in program history.
Day two of the Total Performance Invitational begins at 9 a.m. CST on Friday, November 22.
