Lee-Green places 4th at Life University/Club Lucha Open

POWDER SPRINGS, Ga.– Men's wrestling competed in their third tournament of the season at the Life University/ Club Lucha Open this Saturday.

Clarence Lee-Green IV finished fourth in the 125-pound gold division and had a strong showing at the recent wrestling tournament.

Green opened the tournament with a dominant performance, securing a major decision win (10-2) over Mikey Doerr from Life University. He followed that up with a tech fall victory (16-0) against Kyle Sieminski of Southern Oregon University. In the quarterfinals, Green faced Amari Harden from Campbellsville (Ky.) and won by decision (2-0) in a tightly contested match. However, in the semifinals, Green's run was halted by Cooper Shore from Campbell University, who won in sudden victory (SV-1 5-2). In the 3rd place match, Green fought hard but was defeated by Vonn Fenn from Southern Oregon University, who won by decision (18-15).

Despite the losses in the later rounds, Green's performance throughout the tournament showed resilience, and his fourth-place finish was a solid result.

A pair of Blue Raiders won multiple matches in the silver division. Jostyn Zayas went 2-2 at 174 pounds earning a 14-12 decision and pin in his two victories. Jaylin Bien-Aime recorded a pin and a tech fall in his two wins.

The Blue Raiders will look to build on their performance when they travel to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for the  Smokey Mountain Duals at 9 am CST on December 14th.
