Women’s Wrestling Goes 3-1 at Eagle Madness Duals

MARIETTA, Ga. – The No. 17 ranked  Lindsey Wilson women's wrestling team went 3-1 Friday at the Eagle Madness Duals.

The Blue Raiders defeated No. 14 Hastings (Neb.), (RV) Brewton-Parker and NCAA Division III Marymount (Va.) and fell to No. 2 Life.
Lindsey Wilson 6 – Life 40
Life got off to a fast start winning the first six matches recording three tech falls and three pins. The Blue Raiders' lone win of the dual came at 145 pounds. Kori Campbell earned a 12-2 tech fall over Christina Jaen. The Running Eagles closed out the match with a tech fall, decision and pin.

Lindsey Wilson 37 – Hastings 11
The Blue Raiders jumped out to a 5-0 lead after a forfeit at 103 pounds. Reagan Thomas earned a first-period pin over Raleigh Guyer and Callie Payton picked up a 14-1 tech fall giving Lindsey Wilson a 14-1 lead. Following a forfeit victory at 124 pounds, Hastings got its only two wins of the dual. The Broncos got a fall at 131 pounds and an 8-4 decision at 138 pounds to make it 20-9.

Lindsey Wilson closed out the dual winning the next four matches. Josseline Campos picked up an 8-3 decision over Emma Stice at 145 pounds. Lexi Ritchie pinned Tabitha Wood late in the first period at 160 pounds. India Page earned a 13-3 tech fall at 180 pounds while Hayeni Costa recorded a fall at 207 pounds.

Lindsey Wilson 45 – Brewton Parker 2
Lindsey Wilson did not drop a match against Brewton-Parker. The Blue Raiders earned five falls, two decisions, two forfeits and a tech fall in the victory. Alyssa Archer got the match started with a 16-10 decision over Elora Waterman at 103 pounds. After a forfeit victory at 110 pounds, Catherine Head pinned Jamesa Robinson at 117 pounds. Sydney Bridenstine recorded a fall at 124 pounds while Abigail Vanderhayden picked up a 10-0 tech fall at 131 pounds.

Leidaly Rivera defeated Kathleen Fisher 10-8 at 138 pounds while Campos pinned Skyy Hargrove at 145 pounds. Ritchie picked up a forfeit at 160 pounds while Page and Alyssa Pinkston closed out the dual with back-to-back pins.

Lindsey Wilson 41 – Marymount 6
The Blue Raiders started the dual winning the first four weight classes. Archer opened with a pin just 21 seconds in at 103 pounds. After a forfeit at 110 pounds, Jaelynn McIntosh earned a 9-6 decision at 117 pounds while Vanderheyden recorded a fall in 27 seconds at 124 pounds.

Marymount's only win of the dual came at 131 pounds with a 12-0 tech fall. The Blue Raiders then earned back-to-back tech falls from Rivera and Campbell at 138 and 145 pounds, respectively. Lindsey Wilson earned two falls and got a forfeit in the final three matches.

The Blue Raiders return to the mat on Saturday for the Eagle Madness Open.
