COLUMBIA, Ky.- Women's basketball hits the hardwood on Friday and Saturday to compete against (RV) Shawnee State University (Ohio) and Oakland City University (Ind.) in the UC Bank Classic. 

Lindsey Wilson is coming off a 91-29 win against Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg (Ky.) in an exhibition on Monday. The Lindsey Wilson offense is led by Taylor Guess who is averaging 15.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. Jarie Thomas and Claire Fleming are amongst other Blue Raiders who are averaging double digits with 10.9 and 10.5, respectively. 

Shawnee State is off to a 7-1 start to the season, with their most recent win coming on Monday against Cedarville University (Ohio) 59-50. Leading the offense for Shawnee State is Markayla Holland with 17.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Cianna Gloster is the other Bear who is averaging 13.3 points and 9.6 rebounds a game. The Bears and Blue Raiders last met up on Feb. 21, 2023 where they lost 70-59. 

Oakland City has started their 2024-25 campaign 5-3 recently picking up their fifth win on Dec. 4, defeating Indiana University Columbus 99-41. The Mighty Oaks have four players averaging double figures with Emilee Hope leading the way with 18.8 points. Marissa Austin, Cortney Dove, and Kyrisha Hay are amongst the other Mighty Oaks who are averaging double digits with 12.0, 11.4, and 10.3 respectively. Lindsey Wilson leads the all-time series 9-5 with the most recent match-up coming on Nov. 11, 2023 where the Blue Raiders picked up the win 75-61.


The Blue Raiders will tip-off at 7 pm CT on Friday and 2 pm CT on Saturday in Biggers Sports Center.
