COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team travels to Florida to take on Warner on Tuesday at 1 p.m. CT and Webber International on Thursday at 1 p.m. CT.
The Blue Raiders enter play with a 9-3 record after going 2-0 at the UC Bank Classic this past weekend. Lindsey Wilson opened with a 56-51 victory over Shawnee State (Ohio) and closed out the classic with an 81-66 victory over Oakland City (Ind.).
Saniyah Shelton led the way for the Blue Raiders in the victory over Oakland City scoring 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting while going 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.
Taylor Guess scored 13 points while
Claire Fleming added 12.
This season, Lindsey Wilson is averaging 72.3 points per game and allowing just 59.3 per game. The Blue Raiders rank third in the Mid-South Conference shooting 73.6 percent from the charity stripe this season. Fleming leads the MSC and ranks fourth in the NAIA shooting 58.3 percent from three.
Warner comes into Tuesday's matchup with a 5-5 record. The Royals are coming off a 77-41 home victory over Fort Lauderdale. Courtney Logan led Warner with a game-high 20 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Bethany Howard added 18 points going 9-of-13 from the field. The Royals average 67 points per game and allow 67.4. Logan leads the team in scoring averaging 16.3 points per game while Howard also averages double figures at 10.3.
Tuesday is the fourth-ever meeting between the two schools and the first since 2016. Lindsey Wilson is 3-0 all-time in the series.
Webber International is 3-4 this season after falling to Rollins 93-50 on Monday. Renae Brant led the Warriors with 13 points while Jaiden Ross had 10. This season, the Warriors average 66.7 points per game and are allowing 72.9. J Curry leads the team in scoring averaging 13.3 points per game.
Thursday is the fourth matchup between the two programs and first since 2017. Lindsey Wilson leads the all-time series 2-1.
