WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's wrestling team competed on the final day of the Patriot Duals on Saturday.
The Blue Raiders' lone win came against No. 5 Indiana Tech and fell to NCAA Division II King (Tenn.), No. 2 Life (Ga.) and No. 7 Campbellsville (Ky.).
Lindsey Wison 8 – King 40
King jumped out to a 34-0 lead after winning the first seven weight classes. Lindsey Wilson's first win came in a forfeit at 160 pounds.
India Page (No. 6 at 180 pounds) gave the Blue Raiders their second win of the match with a 3-2 decision over Alexa Garcia.
Lindsey Wilson 5 – Life Green 44
Life took control of the match winning the first five weight classes taking a 24-0 lead. The Blue Raiders' lone win of the match came at 138 pounds.
Kori Campbell pinned Morgan Sacharczyk in just 58 seconds.
Lindsey Wilson 29 – Indiana Tech 17
Makayla Young defeated
Alyssa Archer at 103 pounds giving Indiana Tech a 4-1 lead. The Blue Raiders won at 110 and 117 pounds to take a 10-5 lead.
Reagan Thomas (No. 18 in NAIA at 110 pounds) earned a 12-2 tech fall over Allison Hancher (No. 13 at 110 pounds).
Callie Payton pinned Arisna Stott (No. 10 at 117 pounds). The Warriors tied the match at 10 with Rose Kaplan ( No. 7 at 124 pounds) pinning
Catherine Head (No. 16 at 117 pounds).
The Blue Raiders took control of the match winning the next five weight classes.
Kamilah Brooks gave Lindsey Wilson a 13-11 lead after she earned a 5-3 decision over Hannah Seitzinger at 131 pounds.
Leidaly Rivera (No. 10 in NAIA at 138 pounds) pinned Skyley Hanna in the first period increasing the Blue Raider lead to 18-11. Campbell defeated Maia Crumb (No. 8 at 145 pounds) 10-2.
Lexi Ritchie pinned Haley Diaz in the second period at 160 pounds. Page earned an 8-0 decision over Grace Doering (No. 10 at 180 pounds). Indiana Tech won at 207 pounds on an injury default.
Lindsey Wilson 17 – Campbellsville Maroon 30
The Blue Raiders led 10-0 after a forfeit at 103 pounds and Thomas pinning Gabrielle Medeiros (No. 20 at 110 pounds). Icart Galumette (No. 8 at 117 pounds) cut the Blue Raider lead to 10-5 with a pin against Payton. Brooks picked up a 10-0 tech fall over Emily Anderson to increase the Lindsey Wilson lead to 14-5. Campbellsville won the next three weight classes to take a 19-14 advantage. Ritchie won a 160 pounds to make it 20-17 before the Tigers won the final two weight classes by forfeit for the 30-17 win.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Tuesday when they host Cumberlands (Ky.) at 6 p.m. CT in Biggers Sports Center.
