LIMA, Ohio
-- No. 17-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis needed every match to upset No. 15-ranked Holy Cross (Ind.) 4-3 on Saturday at the Westwood Tennis and Fitness Center.

The Blue Raiders (2-1) overcame a pair of deficits to secure their second straight win.

Holy Cross (1-3) -- which boasts the top-ranked player in the NAIA -- took its first lead of the day after doubles play.

The Saints won both completed matches in doubles to take a 1-0 team lead.

Luca McManus and Adam Singleton captured the first win of the day in the third-seeded doubles match, beating Anatoliy Voloshyn and Aldo Randazzo 6-2.

Holy Cross secured the doubles point on court one in a nationally-ranked match. Perry Gregg and Laurenz Flender -- ranked fifth in the NAIA in doubles -- outlasted ninth-ranked Jan Silhavy and Miquel Perez 7-5 to close doubles action.

Needing four singles to win to take the match, Lindsey Wilson grabbed its first lead of the day by winning back-to-back matches on courts four and six.

Lucas Marques evened the team match at 1-1 with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Singleton on court four. Randazzo followed with the first of three superset wins to push the Blue Raiders in front 2-1. He posted a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 win, beating Polis Koursaros 10-8 in the superset tiebreak on court six.

Holy Cross won the next two matches to seize a 3-2 advantage in the team match.

Gregg -- ranked No. 1 in the NAIA in singles -- beat seventh-ranked Silhavy 7-6 (5), 6-2 in the top-seeded match. McManus edged the Saints in front on court three with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Perez.

On the cusp of falling to the Saints, the Blue Raiders won the final two singles matches in tiebreaks to claim the win.

Voloshyn evened the team match with a 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6) win over Ciaran McCarthy on court five.

Jaume Barcelo closed out the thriller on court two with an 11-9 superset win over Oscar Wai. The pair split the first two sets. Wai took set one 6-3 before Barcelo won in the second set 7-5 and then the superset.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 9 a.m. CT on Sunday, Feb. 25, as the Blue Raiders play host Northwestern Ohio at the Westwood Tennis and Fitness Center.
