COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson archery finished fourth at the USA Archery Indoor National Championship, USA Archery officials announced.
The Blue Raiders competed at Indoor Nationals Feb. 15-16 in Madisonville, Ky. Scores from indoor national competitions all across the country were compiled for the final results.
Sophia Hunziger captured a national championship in women's fixed pins. Hunziger won gold with a total score of 1,181 (295-292-296-298) and recorded 101 10s over the four rounds. She edged out Cumberlands' Kaitlyn Shields by one point for the top spot.
Austin Taylor earned gold in men's compound. Taylor carded a 1,194 (298-299-299-298) and 114 10s to capture the championship. Tayor won the championship by one point over Cumberlands' Isaac Sullivan.
Lindsey Wilson finished with 71.75 points to finish fourth. Cumberlands (Ky.) captured the team title with 172 points, Texas A&M finished second with 153 points and Pikeville (Ky.) was third with 99 points.
T Sanchez finished fourth in men's recurve with a score of 1,147 while
Anastacia Godman posted a fourth-place finish in the women's barebow with a score of 975.
Parker Braddock tied for seventh in men's compound with a score of 1,177.
Audrey Mills posted an eighth-place finish in women's fixed pins with a score of 1,168.
Taylor and Braddock earned silver in men's compound team with a score of 2.371. Hunziger and Mills finished runner-up in women's fixed pins team totaling a score of 2,349. In mixed fixed pins, Hunziger and
Gus Burtts finished runner-up with a score of 2,363.
