COLUMBIA, Ky. - The No.10-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team play their first home match this Wednesday when they host Georgetown College (Ky.) at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex at 2 p.m. CT. They immediately get back in action the next day as they face No.13 Union College (Ky.) at 2 p.m. CT.

The Blue Raiders are 9-2 overall this season and 2-0 in conference play, most recently winning 6-1 against No.25 Campbellsville. In that match the ladies had two victorious pairing debuts in doubles as Anastasiia Vorobiova and Darija Mladenovic won 6-1 and Anastasiia Ivanchenko and Martina Cortal also won 6-1. 

The five ranked Blue Raiders grabbed straight-sets wins in their respective matches. Two players head into this lineup with a six match winning streak, Anastassia Ivanchenko (9-2) - ranked 43rd in NAIA singles and Mariangeles Mateu (9-2) ranked 18th. Senior Darija Mladenovic - ranked 68th - is 6-0 playing as racket no. 4. Vorobiova and Heyka Rodriguez - ranked 10th and 28th, respectively - also picked up straight-sets wins. 

In the head-to-head record against the Tigers the Blue Raiders are ahead as they lead 29-5, with a whopping 28 match winning streak. Last time both teams faced each other, the Blue Raiders took the win with a 7-0 score. The series against the Bulldogs is also positive with an 8-2 lead, but with a two-match losing streak. Though the last matchup between the two programs was a long time ago, April 6, 2019 where Union won 5-1. 

The match against Georgetown is set to start with the doubles teams on Wednesday, March 20 at 2 p.m. CT. The matchup against Union is scheduled to begin with doubles play on Thursday, March 21 at 2 p.m. C.T.
