COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team captured the Blue Raider Spring Invitational title on Tuesday at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson.
The Blue Raiders carded a 12-over 300 in the third round on par 72 5,864 yard course. Lindsey Wilson finished the tournament with a 45-over 909 (299-310-300). The 299 in round one was the lowest score of the tournament. Lindsey Wilson defeated runner-up Cumberlands by five shots.
Katie Biddlecombe earned medalist honors with a 6-over 222 (75-74-73). Biddlecombe led the tournament with 10 birdies and was 3-under on par 5s. Competing in her first tournament for the Blue Raiders,
Papatsara Niamrungrueang finished fourth with a 228 (72-78-78).
Megan Mann posted a top-10 finish tying for sixth carding a 230 (75-80-75).
Kayla Saunders carded a 232 (77-81-74) to tie for 13th and
Danielle Bekker tied for 17th with a 237 (81-78-78).
Lindsey Wilson's B team finished tied for 5th with a 970 (323-328-319).
Tara Laverty finished tied for 13th carding a 232 (76-78-78) while
Zofia Wojcik tied for 25th with 243 (82-81-80).
Lauren Holeman (84-84-80) and
Hannah Sumner (81-86-81) each carded a 248 to tie for 30th.
Paige Gray finished 33rd while
Kendall Hacker who was competing as an individual finished 39th.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Monday when they compete Blue Mountain Christian University Classic in West Point, Miss.
