Box Score Women's Tennis Sweeps Georgetown in First Home Game

COLUMBIA, Ky. - No. 10-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis remained unbeaten in the Mid-South Conference following today's 7-0 sweep over visitors Georgetown (Ky.) at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex. 

The Blue Raiders (10-2, 3-0 in the MSC) won all three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead and six of six singles matches for their seventh consecutive win.
Mariangeles Mateu and Heyka Rodriguez opened the match with a 6-0 win over Madelyn Gill and Lydia Prince on court two. The win marked their eight victory as partners.

Lindsey Wilson secured the doubles point on court three as Anastasiia Ivanchenko and Martina Cortal won their second consecutive game as a pair, 6-2 over Hana Dixon and Anna White.

Mariangeles Mateu -- ranked 18th in the NAIA singles -- defeated Samantha Spay 6-2, 6-0 in the second-seeded match to push the Blue Raiders in front 2-0. Darija Mladenovic -- ranked 68th in the NAIA -- beat Gill 6-2, 6-2 on court three for the 3-0 lead.
Vorobiova  -- ranked 10th – secured the team win on court one with 6-4, 6-1 score. Gisone did not drop a single game in her entire match as she double-bageled Prince 6-0, 6-0. 

Ivanchenko -- ranked 43rd – and Cortal also picked up straight-sets wins.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action tomorrow at 2 p.m. CT. , as the Blue Raiders host No.13 Union College (Ky.) at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
