WEST POINT, Miss. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team sits in second following the first two rounds of the Blue Mountain Classic Monday at Old Waverly Golf Club.
The Blue Raiders carded a 53-over 629 (321-308) on the par-72 5,883 yard course to be tied for second with Dalton State heading into Tuesday's final round. William Carey (Miss.) sits atop the leaderboard with a 623. Lindsey Wilson leads the tournament with +4 scoring average on par-5s and has totaled the most pars with 102.
Kayla Saunders is tied for seventh with a 12-over 156 (78-78). Saunders currently ranks second in the tournament going -1 on par-5s.
Megan Mann carded a 157 (80-77) and moved up seven spots in the second round to sit tied for 10th.
Danielle Bekker (82-76) and
Papatsara Niamrungrueang (81-77) are tied for 12th. Bekker moved up 11 spots in the second round while Niamrungrueang moved up eight spots.
Tara Laverty competing as an individual is tied for 18th with a 161 (82-79) while
Katie Biddlecombe rounds out the Blue Raider scoring with a 166 (82-84) to sit tied for 30th.
The final round of the Blue Mountain Classic gets underway on Tuesday morning.
