COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 13 ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team defeated (RV) Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) 6-1 Wednesday at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
The Warriors took a 1-0 lead after capturing the doubles point. Itaru Kikuchi and Alvaro Camino defeated
Jan Silhavy and
Miquel Perez 6-4 in the top-seeded doubles match. Lewis-Clark clinched the point with a 6-4 on court three.
Aldo Randazzo and
Lucas Marques picked up a 7-5 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Marques tied the match with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Austin Swing at No. 3 singles. Silhavy - No. 13 in NAIA - defeated Kikuchi 6-4, 6-3 on court one to give the Blue Raiders a 2-1 lead.
Jaume Barcelo - ranked No. 44 - won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.
Perez clinched the victory for Lindsey Wilson with a 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory in the fourth-seeded singles match.
Anatoliy Voloshyn - ranked No. 53 – defeated Alvaro Camino 6-4, 6-2. Randazzo picked up a 7-5, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles.
The Blue Raiders are back in action at 1 p.m. CT on April 4 for a Mid-South Conference matchup at Bethel (Tenn.)
