COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 11 ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team captured its 10th-straight victory Wednesday with a 6-1 win against Lewis-Clark State at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
Mariangeles Mateu and
Heyka Rodriguez defeated Beatriz Lambru and Anne Mathema 6-0 on court two.
Anastasiia Vorobiova and
Darija Mladenovic clinched the doubles point for the Blue Raiders with a 6-0 victory in the top-seeded match.
Martina Cortal and
Anastasiia Ivanchenko won 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
Mateu – No. 18 in NAIA singles – won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 singles against Lambru.
Reshma Challarapu gave the Blue Raiders a 3-0 lead with a 6-2, 6-1 victory on court three against Paige Nobel-Lucas. Vorobiova – No. 10 – clinched the match for Lindsey Wilson with a 6-0, 6-4 win in the top-seeded singles match.
Cortal won 6-0, 7-5 against Mathema at No. 6 singles. Lewis-Clark State's lone point of the match came with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) win at No. 5 singles. Mladenovic – No. 68 – won 6-3, 4-6, 10-6 at No. 4 singles.
The Blue Raiders are back in action at 1 p.m. CT on April 4 for a Mid-South Conference matchup at Bethel (Tenn.)
