COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team will be traveling to Missouri for their spring break trip to play Missouri Baptist University and No. 22 William Woods University (Mo.).
The Blue Raiders are currently 6-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play, most recently sweeping Freed-Hardeman 7-0. In singles, Anastasiia Vorobiova is 3-2 at first racket and Mariangeles Mateu is 1-0 at first racket and 5-2 at second racket. Anastasiia Ivanchenko 5-0 at fifth racket and is on a three match winning streak and Darjia Mladenovic is 3-0 at fourth racket. In doubles, Heyka Rodriguez and Mateu are 6-2 overall and are on a three match win streak, while Ivanchenko and Vorobiova are 6-1 overall on a four match win streak.
Missouri Baptist has a 6-4 overall record, coming off a loss to (RV) Morningside University on Tuesday. This will be the first meeting between Missouri Baptist and Lindsey Wilson. William Woods is sitting on a 3-3 record, having most recently defeated Morningside 6-1 last weekend. In singles Hanna Lindeboom is 14-6 on the year at first racket, with a three match winning streak and Lena Greefs is 11-7 at third racket. In doubles, Lindeboom and Marta Calvo Larraz are 13-5 on the year at number one doubles and are on a two match win streak. The last time the Blue Raiders played William Woods was on March 10, 2022 where the Blue Raiders won 4-2.
The Blue Raiders will first take on Missouri Baptist at 3 p.m. CST on Thursday, March 7, in St. Louis, Mo. followed by William Wood on Saturday, March 9 at 12 p.m. CST. in Fulton, Mo.
