COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Lindsey Wilson women's swim team finds itself inside the top five after day one of the NAIA Swimming and Diving Championships at the Columbus Aquatics Center.

The Blue Raiders received a huge boost from their two All-American relays, including one school record breaker.

The 200-yard medley relay foursome of Maaike Broersma, Sara Motyl, Natascha Evreinoff, and Natalia Gorska earned national runner-up status and posted the program's best-ever finish in the event with a record-breaking time of 1:43.77.

Then, in the 800-yard freestyle relay, Hannah Woyscheszik, Broersma, Evreinoff, and Gorska hit the wall at 7:48.15 to climb one spot from their seeded entry to eighth place and earn Lindsey Wilson its second All-American finish.

Day two of the national championships begins at 8 a.m. CST on Thursday with a round of preliminary events.

Jaye Farthing and Jordyn Minifie are due in the pool for the first time this week in the 500-yard freestyle and 200-yard individual medley, respectively, and Broersma, Gorska, Woyscheszik, Evreinoff, and Motyl are all scheduled to compete in the 50-yard freestyle.
