Later in the evening, Broersma and Motyl teamed up with Natascha Evreinoff and Natalia Gorska and placed runner-up in the 400-yard medley relay with a school-record mark of 3:47.45. Broersma led off the relay with the backstroke leg and topped her championship-winning time by 0.02 seconds for a new program record.
